Abstract : In the increasing concern of data security, the most frequently used approach is the encryption of the original message to cipher text messages. Traditional method of cryptography is to convert the message into cipher text by using substitution method, exchange and conversion, through which characters, numbers and special symbols are replaced by other non-readable fonts, figures and distinct signs. This paper presents an inventive approach wherein cover appearance hides the information. The cover picture is first divided into two subsets. The two subsets RGB value is extracted by means of RGB histogram and is used to hide the data. The reverse process is to produce the original text from the two subsets of cover image by reversible data hiding technique taken at the receiver side. The application also engenders high resolution from low resolution picture so that the same image is retained to the receiver. Since there are decillion of color with a wide range of available shades, the attacker’s complexity increases and this gives the assurance of strong ciphering. © 2018, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc.
