Abstract : pThe z-score is the common way to make comparison between two similar or dissimilar courses. It tells us that, how much standard deviations someone is above or below the mean. All courses are not the same. There are different categories of subjects where students can perform highest or lowest marks. Based on criteria there can be strict marking or moderate marking in different courses where the student undergo in various programme. Using z-score we can easily analyze the performance of the student. This paper highlights to know the performance of the students by measurement scores on different measures using Z-scores and scores are placed in their distributions. Compare the mean and standard deviation of a distribution that is reasonably Gaussian allows determining the performance. The experimental result shows the empirical rule of students who have scored above the standard deviation and average and below the standard deviation. It also shows that entire student who has scored standard deviation above one. © 2015 IEEE./p
