Abstract : Piezoelectric accelerometers are used in various applications and industries such as energy sectors and monitoring purposes because of its low power usage, less price and small size capabilities. Piezoelectric material used in this project is Barium Titanate (BTO), Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT) and Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF), because of endurance in high temperatures and the constant performance it shows. The materials chosen as Piezoelectric for the three axis accelerometer shows many features such as ease of use and installation, durability, working in extreme conditions, etc. Better sensitivity is observed in piezoelectric accelerometers compared to capacitive accelerometers and shows comparatively long life. This study is about the 3 axis accelerometer with a less complex structural design which can be simulated and gives an efficient result, such as stress change in the required axis, variation in raw sense voltage and displacement variation. When the device is subjected to a certain force on the proof mass, raw sense voltage proportional to the acceleration provided is observed.
