Abstract : This paper develops a high-performance stand-alone photovoltaic (PV) generation system interfaced for a seven level multilevel inverter topology. The generated energy by the PV arrays is processed to extract maximum power to make the PV system more expandable and flexible, the back stage power circuits is composed of a DC-DC converter and a pulse width modulation (PWM) for H-bridge inverter topology. In this paper the Maximum Power Point is done by using Incremental conductance method and dc-dc power conversion is explained using the Cuk converter, to improve the conversion efficiency and to simplify the control design of thePWMinverter. This paper also reveals a modified hybrid modulation scheme for the H-bridge inverter to obtain less total harmonic content. This is suitable for any number of levels.THD using solar power is shown using MATLAb/Simulink.
