Graduation Day ceremony for the Amrita School of Arts & Sciences, Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amrita School of Business and Amrita School of Engineering, Amritapuri campus will be held on August 31, 2018.
As a celebration of sportsman/sportswomen spirit, School of Biotechnology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, will conduct athletic meet from February 16-17, 2018.
The Graduation Ceremony of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, was celebrated on 10th September, 2017, at Mata Amritanandamayi Math. Mr. M. Rajeevan, Secretary, Ministry of Health Sciences and Mr. G. Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Advisor to the Defence Minister, were the Chief Guests of the event.
Amritakalotsavam 2017 was celebrated at the School of Biotechnology on April 3 - 4, 2017, showcasing the artistic talents of the students. The festivities were inaugurated by Dr. Bipin Nair, Dean, followed by a lamp lighting and concluded with Ranga pooja to set the joyous spirit for the occasion.
The Amrita School of Biotechnology (ASBT)'s Annual Sports Meet was hosted on the 3rd and 4th of March, 2017. The faculty members and students of ASBT recognize the importance of a wholesome education in which physical education and fitness are of great significance.
Amrita School of Biotechnology (ASBT) organized a two day event called the “Biocrest 2017” on January 19-20, 2017. The International Symposium was on Microbial Pathogenesis.
In order to create awareness of the importance of mushrooms, the students of S3 B.Sc. Microbiology hosted a program named “Mycoscope” November 10th-11th, 2016. The Mycoscope 2016 programme presented an expo on the properties and uses of fungi, as well as recent discoveries about the fungi kingdom.
The traditional name of India is Bharata and Indians are Bharatias – or ‘those who revel in light’. During the night of Deepavali the myriad little clay lamps (diyas) seem to silently send forth message of Deepavali: “Come, let us remove darkness from the face of the earth.” Oh,The light of lights, the self-luminous inner light of the Self is ever shining steadily in the chamber of your heart.
Amrita School of Biotechnology welcomed its new batch of students in a unique induction program titled “SWAGATHAM 2016" on July 27, 2016. The new students were greeted with a traditional welcome from their seniors, after which they each lit a deepam, signifying the light of knowledge, to be placed at the feet of Saraswati Devi, the Goddess of Learning.
On February 11th-12th 2016, the classrooms and labs of Amrita School of Biotechnology (ASBT) were deserted– an unusual sighting on most working days. The students, staff, and faculty members were not to be seen in the biotechnology building, but were instead found at the Amritapuri campus sports ground for the annual ASBT Athletic Meet.
