The 25th Convocation of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, encompassing various campuses, was held at the Kochi Campus. This landmark event celebrated the academic achievements of graduates from diverse disciplines, underscoring the institution’s commitment to holistic education. A total of 375 graduates were conferred with degrees and awards across various disciplines.
The event celebrated academic excellence of students from various campuses and fields of study. Graduates from School of Medicine, Allied Health Sciences, NanoSciences and Molecular Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Dentistry at the Kochi campus. Graduates in Ayurveda and Biotechnology, from Amritapuri Campus as well as Engineering graduates from both Amritapuri and Coimbatore campuses, were awarded. Graduates from the School of Business in Bangalore were also acknowledged. In addition, graduates from campuses including Amritapuri, Mysuru, and Kochi for the School of Arts and Sciences were also awarded.
Amma’s inspirational message for the graduates illuminated their path, imparting wisdom that extends beyond academic realms. Her words served as a guiding light, instilling a sense of purpose and inspiration for their future endeavors.
The convocation ceremony witnessed esteemed speakers and dignitaries congratulating the graduates. Dr. Prem Nair, Provost, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Dean, Faculty of Medical Sciences, and Medical Director, School of Medicine, shared insights into the institution’s journey towards realising AMMA’s vision.
Sampoojya Swami Purnamritananda Puri, General Secretary of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, delivered the benedictory and convocation addresses. Swamiji’s inspiring words emphasised the symbiosis of knowledge and purity, urging graduates to extend respect not only to fellow humans but also to the environment, embodying the ethos of Amma’s teachings.
Dr. Sankaran K., Registrar, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, administered the university oath to graduates. Swami Shankaramritanda, Dean of Amrita School of Ayurveda, said in his felicitation message to the graduates to apply the noble values learned during their academic journey to lead a successful and purposeful life.
