Sampradaya Bhajan at Amrita School of Ayurveda

Sampradaya Bhajan Performance by Kadayanallur Rajagopal and Team was successfully conducted by Samskriti at Amrita School of Ayurveda on 29 October 2015.

Sampradaya Bhajan is the traditional form of bhajans (devotional songs in praise of God and his Divine love) in South India. “Sampradaya” means a tradition which is handed down by one’s ancestors. It is the collection of Kirtanas (songs) and Namavalis (songs composed of names of Hindu gods like Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, etc.) in a specific order.

Even though singing the Lord’s name without following any order of performance will suffice, systematic performance will always benefit. That’s why Kadayanallur Rajagopal has been devoting his life to spread the Power of Nama of Almighty through his Namasankeerthanams. He is well versed in all the modes of Sampradaya Bhajan. His way of performing bhajans, which attracts not only the aged, but also the young generation, creates a conducive atmosphere in reaching God.

During his performance supported by his team, Kadayanallur Rajagopal taught and encouraged our students and staff to sing bhajans wholeheartedly, with the proper use of voice and body positions. The whole hall was filled with beautiful music, enthusiastic hand claps and devotional voices in harmony. Those who attended left with a feeling of full happiness and contentment.
