Abstract : Electric vehicles are promoted in large numbers in India due to various reasons like the shortage of fossil fuels and environmental pollution reduction policies. Introduction of large number of electric vehicles (EV) into conventional grid poses new control challenges. These modern loads/storage systems are integrated through power converters, which have characteristics such as small inertia, fast response time, and instability in voltage and frequency. This paper presents the virtual inertia-based synchronous generator control technique with EV charging station battery storage system to restore the frequency stability of the system.
