Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s AmritaCREATE (Amrita Center for Research in Analytics & Technologies for Education) was selected to be one of five finalist teams for the $7M Barbara Bush Foundation’s Adult Literacy XPRIZE in an awards ceremony on June 25, 2018, in New Orleans.
Amrita Center for Research in Analytics and Technologies for Education (AmritaCREATE), one of the research initiatives of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, trained over 1087 tribal children and adults in Wayanad, Idukki and Attapadi districts of Kerala in Computer Awareness Skills.
AmritaCREATE, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, has authored an article on Medical Virtual Patient Simulator (MedSim), which was featured as a cover story on Computer Society of India’s CSI Communications magazine of Computer Society of India (CSI) in its August 2017 issue with the theme, “ICT in Healthcare”.
Prof. Prema Nedungadi of AmritaCREATE, was an invited speaker at the Vatican conference on “Children and Sustainable Development: Challenge for Education”, held November 13-15, 2015 at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences. She presented Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Amrita RITE (Rural India Tablet enhanced Education) model that was inspired and guided by Chancellor Amma’s vision to provide both ‘education for making a living’ and ‘education for life’ skills.
