As part of the DST-funded STI Hub: Improving Tribal Livelihoods, Education, and Sustainability (STI-ITLIVES) project, we recently concluded the Digital Literacy and Amrita Awareness Ambassador (DL-AAA) intervention in JM High School, Serchhip, Mizoram. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), by equipping students with essential digital literacy skills and fostering awareness on critical social issues. By empowering young ambassadors, the program contributes to building a more informed, inclusive, and technologically proficient generation, ensuring sustainable progress in education and community development. This was the fourth and final session at the school.
110 students were provided awareness for AAA, and 119 students were provided awareness for DL. At the conclusion of the event, the headmaster received a school trophy and the student ambassadors received Ambassador Certificates.
