Dr. Maneesha Ramesh, Dean of International Programs, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and Director, Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications (AmritaWNA), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, was a panelist on a Malayalam TV channel, Manorama News’ panel on COVID-19 scenario affecting education, students and other stakeholders in the community. In the session, Dr. Maneesha addresses how Amrita has been switching to adapt to this scenario and how we used our previously developed National platforms, AVIEW for eLearning and Amrita Virtual Labs for university-level education during these times.
Amrita had been pioneering several online and blended learning tools and solutions that seem apt to be used across all student communities and some of these tools are freely available for use. Amrita’s cybersecurity center has also initiated a COVID-19 Security Help Desk for helping our citizens during this time of uncertainty. In the times of a pandemic as in this case of COVID-19, it is crucial solutions reconnect students, teachers and in general, the community itself.
