The DST STI Hub has made remarkable progress this past year on the AAA and Digital Literacy program with the help of a dedicated ground team. In the inaugural phase of the STI Hub Mizoram project, significant progress was made through the implementation of the Adolescent Awareness Ambassador (AAA) program and Digital Literacy (DL) sessions.
The AAA program was conducted in 10 schools, reaching a total of 1029 students. This initiative aimed to raise awareness on substance abuse, focusing on drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and areca nuts. Additionally, 93 student ambassadors were trained to disseminate awareness within their respective schools and communities. Student ambassadors engaged in creative awareness activities such as skits and trivia quizzes, fostering their presentation skills and self-confidence. Each ambassador received a certificate for their participation in AAA sessions, while participating schools were acknowledged with mementos as tokens of appreciation for their collaboration.
Digital Literacy sessions addressing professional development and internet safety topics were conducted in 8 schools, complementing the AAA program. The sessions were conducted in the following schools:

Under a grant from the Department of Science and Technology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in collaboration with Mizoram University, plans to build Science, Technology & Innovation Hubs in the districts of Aizawl and Serchhip to promote sustainable livelihoods through Capacity Building and Skill Development for tribal communities.
