Under the IBM-ASB Coimbatore academic initiative, a four-day workshop on Data Analytics (Cognos software) was conducted for the faculty members of Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore (ASBC) at the campus from 29th October to 1st November 2015.
Cognos certification training teaches faculty building of relational data models, enhancing, customizing and managing professional business reports with critical, hands-on database skills on IBM’s Cognos software. The faculty, in turn, will train the students on Cognos software. On successful completion of training, the students can get IBM certification, which will increase their employability. A similar workshop was conducted during August on SPSS software.
The faculty members, in turn, will train the students on Cognos software and students will get IBM certification, increasing the employability of ASB MBA students.
ASB-IBM Business Analytics Lab
The training was conducted as a part of IBM and ASBC collaboration, which has led to the establishment of Amrita-IBM Business Analytics Lab. With the establishment of the data analytics laboratory, ASB Coimbatore has gained a competitive edge in its research activities, enhancing the competitive and analytical skills of the students and researchers. The college has renewed its curriculum this year with the integration of a certification program for students as a part of this MoU.
