With the blessings of our Amma Amma Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, the Intel Intelligent Systems Laboratory was inaugurated by Shri I. B. Manikantan, Campus Director, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai and Dr. P. Shankar, Principal, Amrita School of Engineering, Chennai on May 5, 2022 at 10.30 a.m. The Inauguration was started with lightning the lamp by Shri I. B. Manikantan, Dr.P.Shankar, Dr.A.Manikandan, Chairperson, Department of ECE, Dr.V.Jayakumar, Chaiperson, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr.R.Prasannakumar, Chairperson, Department of CSE & Dr.S.Vinata Sai, Chairperson, and Department of Science & Humanities along with the students. This laboratory is inaugurated with the objective to enhance the student skill set through experimental learning. This laboratory is aimed to be a smart IOT lab equipped with high end Intel processors, compact & smart processors like Raspberry pi with 8GB RAM, Arduino boards and a variety of Smart sensors for diverse spectrum of detection. IoT lab will be an excellent platform to translate innovative ideas in this disruptive technology and build useful products for benefit of industry or community. The entire campus is enabled with High speed internet connectivity, making the working experience exciting. The research activities in the laboratory are mainly focused on developing the smart devices for real world problems through Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning. Summer school events and certification programmes are jointly organized with experts from INTEL/FICE to train students, faculty and professionals. Intel® Intelligent Systems Lab at our campus will be one of the innovation centers to prepare our students for Industry 4.0 and beyond.
