The national Virtual Laboratories project of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, along with IIT Delhi; IIT Bombay; IIT Kanpur; IIT Kharagpur and others, has been enhancing the laboratory education of students online for more than a decade.
The Virtual Labs Nodal Center Meeting 2018 was conducted at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, on May 19, 2018.
On March 23, 2018, Amrita’s Virtual Laboratories and its deployment outcomes won the GOLC Online Lab Award 2018 for visualized experiment category.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Dr. Shyam Diwakar presented on “Virtual Labs in India” at the Online Labs Workshop organized by Prof. Michael Auer and Danilo Zutin from CTI, Villach, Austria on Jan 10, 2016 at Pune. The preconference workshop was scheduled during the Third International Conference on Transformations in Engineering Education, organized by College of Engineering, Pune.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham participated at the World Engineering Education Forum (WEEF) 2015 held at Palazzo dei Congressi, Florence, Italy from September 20-24, 2015.
A workshop for the Amrita Online Labs project (OLabs) was held at PGM Boys and Girls’ High School, Pandalam, Kerala on the 6th February 2015. Thirty-nine Science teachers from the school participated and had a unique opportunity to experience the virtual labs through a demonstration organized by AmritaCREATE.
