About

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (India) and University of Missouri (USA) have together established a Joint Virtual Research Center in Cyber Physical Systems to foster collaborations, specifically joint projects that focus on the following UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): 6, 7, 11, 13, 15, and 17.

Joint Research Center in Cyber Physical Systems is an interdisciplinary virtual research center that aims to facilitate a common platform for collaborative  research, student & faculty exchanges, joint/double degree programs, joint events (conference, symposium, workshops), joint supervision for masters and Ph.D. students, hackathons, hands on workshops, training programs as well as Joint projects. The center was established in the year 2020 .

The primary objective of the Center will be to develop Multi-pronged and Interdisciplinary technologies for Sustainable Cyber Physical Systems. Cyber Physical systems integrate the Cyber component into Physical systems for remote monitoring purposes by leveraging devices ranging from tiny sensors to compute-intensive datacenters. These systems have applications in a wide variety of domains such as Agriculture, Healthcare, Transportation, Aviation, Virtual and Augmented Reality etc. In particular, our purpose is to develop technologies specific to the needs of applications in Cyber Physical Systems towards satisfying the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). We propose approaches that involve theory, modeling and simulation as well as  real-time experimentation in realistic environments to be able to demonstrate their viability for different application domains in Cyber Physical Systems.
