Abstract : The Asia-Pacific region holds critical importance in the global efforts toward Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) due to its diverse economic, social, and environmental landscapes. Addressing gaps in existing literature, this study employs a bibliometric analysis to explore SDG research in the region. It reveals Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), and Climate Action (SDG 13) as the predominant SDGs. A high citation-to-publication ratio in these areas indicates significant policy implications, particularly concerning emissions reduction and climate mitigation. The study also identifies intricate interlinkages between SDG 7 and SDG 13 and social-oriented SDGs, emphasizing their mutual reinforcement. Furthermore, the research delineates geopolitical contributions, identifying China as the leading contributor to SDG research, followed by India, Iran, and Turkey. These nations exhibit robust international collaborations, exemplified by China's partnerships with Japan and Singapore and India's with South Korea and Saudi Arabia. In the funding spectrum, China and South Korea emerge as pivotal players. Prominent academic institutions in the Asia-Pacific region contributing to these SDGs are outlined, although gaps in research on Gender Equality (SDG 5) and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) are noted. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for further research to devise frameworks for a balanced approach to the SDGs, considering their interdependent nature.
