Abstract : The locally best invariant (LBI) test for the detection of “Compound Departures” from the general compound distributions is constructed. This LBI test is an optimally robust test for the models in Durairajan and Raman (1996 a,b) . Further, the present model generalizes the particular cases considered by Sen Gupta and Pal (1991, 1993) and Durairajan and Raman (1996 a,b) among others.
