First Prize for Best Poster Presentation at Saadhanaa 3 – National Seminar on Clinical Aspects 2020
Dr. Amrutha S. Babu, final-year PG scholar, Department of Kayachikitsa, Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, won the first prize in the poster presentation competition titled “Neurological Movement Disorders” at Saadhanaa 3 – National Seminar on Clinical Aspects 2020, conducted by Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College, Kothamangalam, Kerala, from February 6 to 8, 2020. The poster presented was “Clinical Significance of Lashuna Rasayana Prayoga in Huntingtons Disease”.
Second Prize for Best Paper Presentation at Saadhanaa 3 – National Seminar on Clinical Aspects 2020
Dr. Swathy V., second-year PG Scholar, Department of Swasthavritta, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, participated in the paper presentation competition at Sadhana 3 – National Seminar on Clinical Aspects 2020, held at Nangelil Ayurveda College, Kothamangalam from February 6 to 8, 2020. Overall there were 240 papers selected for the paper presentation competition. In the departmental level preliminary round, Dr. Swathy bagged the first position from the department of Swasthavritta and was selected to the final round. 15 participants representing their respective departments presented the papers in the final round. A panel of 8 senior judges from various streams of Ayurveda evaluated the paper presentation. In the final round, she won the second prize for the best paper presentation. The prize included a cash prize of Rs. 3000, certificate of merit and a trophy.

The topic presented was “Concept of Uttarottara Dhatuposhana in Relation to Cell Differentiation”. The prize included a certificate of merit and a trophy.
Student Wins Second Prize in Poster Presentation at Atharva-19 National Seminar
Dr. Minu Rosamma Joseph, First year PG Scholar, Department of Shalyatantra, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, secured second prize in the poster presentation at THARVA-19 National Seminar on Emergency Management – An Ayurveda Approach, held at Government Ayurveda College, Trivandrum, from July 3-4, 2019.
The theme of the competition was ‘Treatment Perspectives in Diabetes Mellitus’. Dr. Joseph presented a poster on the topic of ‘Prevention and Management of Diabetic Neuropathy by Padabhyanga and Atibala Kashayapana’.

The topic presented was “A Pre-test and Post-test Study to Assess the Effect of Agnikarma and Varunadi Ksheerapaka in Migraine ( Ardhavabhedaka).”
The prize included a certificate of merit, cash prize of Rs. 3000 and a momento.

Dr. Vandana K Vasudevan third year PG scholar from the Department of Prasutitantra and Streeroga , School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, have won first prize for poster presentation at the “8th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo” organized by the World Ayurveda Foundation and Ministry of Ayush, Govt of India, conducted at Gujarat University Convention and exhibition centre, Ahmedabad from December 14-17,2018. The title of the poster was “Floral Therapy for women’s health: an overview”.

Dr. Vandana K Vasudevan third year PG scholar from the Department of Prasutitantra and Streeroga, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, have won first prize for presenting scientific paper at “Prajnanam” National seminar on infertility organised by Amrita School of Ayurveda from February 1,2. Dr. Vandana presented the paper titled “The combined effect of Masha Ashwagandhadi choorna and counseling in oligoasthenozoospermia with previous intrauterine insemination failure: A case report”.

Dr. Vandana presented the paper titled “Increased short term risk following first pregnancy: An Ayurvedic Prespective”

Dr. Sujithra M., PG Scholar, Dept. of Dravya Guna Vijnana, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, won the third prize in Scientific Paper Presentation (Oral) conducted by AHMA at Aluva on March 17, 2019. The topic presented was ‘A Comparative Phytochemical Assessment of Triphala Kaṣāya Vāsita Godhūma and RawGodhūma.’
The prize included a certificate of merit, cash prize of Rs. 5000 and a momento of ‘Young Scholar Award’.
Dr. Sujithra M., PG Scholar, Dept. of Dravya Guna Vijnana, School of Ayurveda, won the first prize in poster presentation in International Ayush Conclave, Thiruvananthapuram, conducted on February 18, 2019. The topic presented was ‘Drug Herb Interaction- A Major Concern in Preventive & Curative Medicine’.

G. of 2014 batch (final yr BAMS)was awarded with 2ndprize (Astavaidyan E.T.Neelakantan moos memorial award ) on the occasion of FOUNDERS DAY -2018 in “Vidvatta-2018” 19th National level essay competition conducted by Astavaidyan thaikkatumoos vaidyaratnam ayurveda college on the topic “Vasti vichara the applied aspects of vastikarma in day to day practice.
- PG Scholars of department of Panchakarma attended the national level seminar on dermatology, ‘Sparsha conducted by government Ayurvedic College Thiruvananthapuram on 13th and 14th July 2018. Five of them presented papers also out of the 60 + presentation 8 were selected for the final round. Out of this 8 finalist paper where from our Panchakarma departments Dr Reshma Ramakrishnan and Dr Shambhu c o. in the final round Dr Reshma Ramakrishnan bagged the 2nd prize fir the paper titled ‘ Effect of a Multimodality Ayurvedic Treatment in a Case of Vesiculobullous Disease – Visphota Kushta,’.
- Dr. Parvathy Unnikrishnan of 2013 batch, presented a paper entitled “A Healthy Conception– An Opening through Pumsavana Karma” and secured first prize for paper presentation competition of “Janani Saparya 2016 -a National Seminar” conducted by Pankaja Kasthuri Ayurveda Medical College and Post Graduate Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.
- Dr. Indu M. Menon and Dr. Pooja N., House Surgeons of Amrita School of Ayurveda, participated in the state level competition of “Ayurwiz’3- a National level quiz competition” conducted by Himalaya Herbals and stood first among 7 teams who competed at this level. »»
- Dr. Krishna Prabha A., PG scholar, Department of Kayachikitsa attended Global wellness Meet, held at Karnataka from 26th to 29th February 2016, presented a paper on “Apabahuka- A case study”, under the guidance of Dr. Ratnaprava Mishra and Dr. Krishnakumar K. She has been selected as the Best presenter among the 25 oral presentations in the Musculoskeltal ailments session.
- Dr. Sumitha Prakash C., Post Graduate Scholar, Department of Shalakyatantra, Amrita School of Ayurveda, won second position in the paper presentation competition conducted by Ashtangahridaya Satram- Vaghbhata Sarani from 24 – 31 January, 2016. The topic of her presentation was “Computer Vision Syndrome-An Ayurvedic Approach.”
- Dr. Revathy S. K. secured first prize along with cash award for paper presentation titled Liver disorders and its Management at Tripunithara Ayurveda college, Kerala on 23rd July, 2015 on the occasion of paper presentation competition of the same.

- Dr. Harsha U. Nair, Dr. Revathy K. S. and Dr. Surya Ravindran Pillai selected for the post of Ayurvedic Medical officer in the campus selection conducted by AyurVAID Hospital on 23rd March 2015. Five candidates appeared for the interview. The selection process was undertaken by Dr. Anil Kaimal and Jagadish Kumar at Amrita School of Ayurveda.
