Bio

Dr. Neelesh Ashok is currently working as Assistant Professor (Sr. Gr) at Amrita School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore campus. His research focuses on material informatics, ML in structure property prediction of polymers, NLP in polymeric design, and polymer nanocomposites. Prior to joining Amrita School of AI, he worked as Post Doctoral Research Associate in Center for Internet Studies and Artificial Intelligence (CISAI) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. He is currently interested in applying artificial intelligence techniques in accelerated materials design and discovery and 3D printed biopolymers.

Neelesh has 8 years teaching and research experience. His doctoral thesis was on nanocomposites of elastomeric blends for gamma radiation environments which was based on sponsored project from UGC-DAE-CSR. He has his technical articles published in many peers reviewed journals. He has 8 publications to his credit in reputed journals and conferences related to elastomeric blends and nanocomposites.

Neelesh finished his B-E in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University in June 2011. He obtained his M.Tech in Engineering Design from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in July 2013. He completed his PhD thesis entitled “Studies on Nanocomposites of EPDM/CIIR Blends for Gamma Radiation Environments” from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in December 2020.
