Bio

Dr. Sapna obtained her B. D. S. and M. D. S. degrees from KVG Dental College, Sullia, Karnataka. She has over 15 years of combined work experience in clinics, research and academics. Dr. Sapna joined the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Amrita in September 2003. Prior to joining Amrita, she was working as a Senior Lecturer at KVG Dental College, Sullia. Her areas of interests include LASER, microdentistry, minimal invasive dentistry and traumatic injuries. She has presented papers in various national and international forums both as a delegate and faculty.

  • After completing BDS had worked as a tutor in KVG dental college for one year in Department of Periodontics & Oral medicine
  • After completing MDS in 2002 – worked as senior lecturer for 8 months in KVG Dental college
  • In Aug 2003 joined Amrita School of Dentistry , Kochi as a senior lecturer , worked as reader and currently as Professor in the same institution .
  • Have been actively involved with developing BDS and MDS curriculum for department & implementing them to meet standards of other universities & accreditation requirements
