Bio

Dr. Sundaresan S. is a telecommunications engineer specializing in cutting-edge PHY layer design for 5G and Beyond, URLLC, and Next-Gen Multiple Access Technologies. Passionate about pushing communication systems to new limits, his career is dedicated to enhancing wireless networks for today’s digital demands. Starting with a strong background in electronics engineering, he honed skills in signal processing and wireless protocols. With 5G’s emergence, he has led innovations in URLLC, RSMA, and beamforming to boost efficiency and capacity. Focused on URLLC, he tackles challenges in ultra-reliable, low-latency communications critical for autonomous vehicles, smart factories, and telemedicine. His expertise spans error control coding, packet scheduling, and hybrid ARQ for robust performance under tight latency. In researching Next-Gen Multiple Access, he explores novel techniques like Orthogonal Time Frequency Space Modulation for better traffic handling in diverse networks. Currently, he is working on infusing AI into the emerging wireless systems that can aid 6G and beyond.

He eagerly collaborates with academicians, industry experts, and researchers to contribute to standard bodies and peer-reviewed journals. His goal is to drive the evolution of telecom by seamlessly integrating transformative technologies into everyday life.
