Faculty Wins Best Paper Award & Travel Grant at National Symposium on Evidence Synthesis, New Delhi

Dr. R. Venkitachalam, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Health Dentistry, School of Dentistry, Amrita Health Sciences, Kochi, won the Best Paper Award for the paper titled “Effectiveness of Laser over Conventional Techniques for the Clinical and Radiographic Outcomes of Primary Molar Pulpotomy: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis” at the National Symposium on Evidence Synthesis for Medicine, Public Health & Social Development held at India Habitat Center, New Delhi, from April 10-12, 2019. The paper was co-authored by Dr. Vennila Chandran, Dr. Medhini M. Menon and Dr. Balagopal Varma, Department of Paediatric Dentistry, School of Dentistry, Amrita Health Sciences, Kochi.

Dr. Reshma Suresh, Assistant Professor, Department of Periodontics, School of Dentistry, Amrita Health Sciences, Kochi, presented a paper on “Comparison of Effectiveness of ADMA with Conventional Gingival Autografts in Management of Millers Class I and II Multiple Adjacent Gingival Recessions: a Systematic Review and Meta-analysis” co-authored by Dr. Jayachandran P, Dr. Shamaz Mohamed, Dr. R. Venkitachalam, Dr. Angel Fenol and Dr. Rajesh Vylopillil, Department of Periodontics, School of Dentistry, Amrita Health Sciences, Kochi.

Dr. R. Venkitachalam and Dr. Reshma Suresh were also awarded a travel grant to attend the conference.
