Corporate and Industry Relations

CIR, Corporate and Industry Relations, one of the important centers of the campus, functions in coordination with the Directorate of CIR situated at the University head quarters at Ettimadai. CIR supports the students with the best career guidance and placement opportunities by closely working with many of the major corporates in India. CIR has succeeded in attracting several leading recruiters, resulting in 100% placements of MCA and MSc (CS) students of 2010-11 and 2011-12 batches.

CIR leverages its dynamic corporate relations to organise Industrial Visits, Seminars , Workshops and Live projects, which in turn enhances the industrial exposure and employability of the students. Besides training programmes to promote employability, CIR also facilitates training sessions for the students to face competitive exams like CAT, MAT, MCA Entrance Exams etc.

Corporates have time and again found the students of Amrita excelling in values, team work, leadership and technical skills rendering them readily acceptable during campus placements.

CIR facilitates certification in NGO Management offered by IGNOU and Tally ERP9 offered by Tally Solutions Pvt.Ltd. Certification programmes are organised in the campus for BBM and B.Com students who are benefitted.

Skill Development

CIR has formulated a very effective Skill Development Program and is tied up with the best training partners in the country to promote the employability skill development of the students. Students are trained in the areas of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical and Reasoning Ability, Verbal Skills, Soft Skills and Technical Aptitude to ensure employability. CIR organizes guest lectures and workshops on emerging industry relevant topics to ensure corporate readiness of the students. CIR also organizes several online aptitude tests, mock interviews and group discussions to ascertain the placement of every student. The skill development programs organized by the CIR have resulted in excellent placements and Amrita, Mysore campus has recorded close to 100 percent placement across the past five years.

CIR organizes pool campus drives at Amrita, Mysore campus which not only promotes the campus placement of the students of Amrita but also the students from other government and private colleges in and around Mysore and far flung places like Hassan, Mandya, Gundlupet, Hunsur, Sagar, Srirangapatna, Coorg, Magadi and Chitraduga. Highest salary received by MCA student of Amrita, Mysore campus is Rs 11 lakhs per annum [Texas Instruments], highest salary received by BCA student is Rs 3.33 lakhs per annum [Deloitte], highest salary received by BBM student is Rs 4.05 lakhs per annum [Godrej] and the highest salary received by B.Com student is Rs 3 lakhs per annum [Unisys].
