Five-Day Boot Camp

The School of Business at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati recently conducted a dynamic five-day boot camp from January 6th to 10th, 2024. The event, designed to empower fresh graduates in navigating their professional journeys, featured insightful sessions from industry experts and interactive activities.

Archana Rajamanickam, an experienced professional, led the first day’s session on “Navigating your HR career as a fresh graduate.” The focus was on clear communication, active listening, and conflict resolution. Key takeaways emphasized tailoring communication to the audience, creating feedback opportunities, and practicing empathy in workplace interactions.

The second day showcased a two-part session. Mr. Abhinav Rajeev from Deloitte delved into “Career Success in Finance and Allied Domains,” covering industry trends, essential skills, and practical advice. Following that, Ms. Sameera Lasya, Co-founder of AVIACONS, discussed “Classroom to Corporate,” guiding graduates on transitioning from academia to the professional world.

The Day 3 featured two placement experts. Mr. Jitesh M, General Manager of Placements, stressed the importance of clear objectives and developing leadership skills. Mr. Santhosh T, Deputy Manager of Placements, outlined the core pillars of the Career Information and Resources program.

Aditya Kutchibhotla led a comprehensive session on “Take Charge of your career,” emphasizing the integral connection between career development, personal growth, and life fulfillment. Participants were introduced to practical tools for networking, crafting impactful resumes, and preparing for job interviews. Each participant received a copy of Mr. Kutchibhotla’s book, “Nex-tep.”

The boot camp concluded with a unique Outward-bound Training led by Mr. Bhaskar K. Mallubhotla. This one-day expedition to Mangalagiri hills, Andhra Pradesh, aimed to promote physical and mental resilience, cultivate leadership skills, and deepen understanding of alpine ecosystems. The experience exceeded objectives, offering challenging hikes, breathtaking scenery, and valuable team-building experiences.

The five-day boot camp successfully equipped participants with essential skills, insights, and practical knowledge to excel in their professional journeys. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham continues its commitment to holistic education, preparing students for success in the dynamic world of business.

Diwali Celebrations

This report details the College Diwali Program, a cultural event celebrating the Hindu festival of lights, held on November 10, 2023 at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati Campus. Diwali, also known as the “Festival of Lights,” is one of the most significant Hindu festivals, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.

The program aimed to promote cultural understanding and provide an opportunity for students to celebrate Diwali traditions. The event featured diverse activities like traditional dance performances, and rangoli making, attracting every participant and faculties. Overall, the program was a resounding success, achieving its objectives and creating a vibrant atmosphere of cultural exchange and celebration.

The program culminated in a traditional Diya lighting ceremony, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the welcoming of light.
