Qualification
|
- B.Tech/M.Tech/Ph.D. in Electronics, Aerospace, Avionics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- PMP/PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
- Proven experience in R&D, defence, aerospace, or UAV/drone system projects.
- Hands-on knowledge of IoT communication protocols (MQTT, CoAP, LoRa, NB-IoT, etc.), edge gateways, and integration with smart devices and sensors.
- Familiarity with secure device provisioning, OTA updates, and IoT device lifecycle management.

Job description
|
- Lead end-to-end project management for UAV/Drone system development, from conception to deployment.
- Own overall project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, milestone definition, and progress tracking.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams working on UAV hardware, embedded software, AI/ML models, edge intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure.
- Oversee RTOS hardening, flight control software, payload integration, and communication stack (5G, C2 links, SATCOM, etc.).
- Manage development and deployment of IDS/IPS solutions, secure boot, encryption modules, and secure communication protocols.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, safety certifications, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., DO-178C, ISO 21434, NIST).
- Supervise and mentor technical leads and senior engineers to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
- Monitor development of key deliverables including Edge SDK, UAV simulation testbeds, digital twins, and secure UAV operation platforms.
- Integrate IoT edge devices, sensor fusion units, and gateway solutions into the UAV ecosystem.
- Facilitate OTA firmware updates, remote diagnostics, and predictive maintenance capabilities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for funding agencies, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Drive continuous innovation, risk mitigation, and adoption of emerging technologies across project components.
