Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (India) and the British Geological Survey of the Natural Environment Research Council (UK) have together established a Joint Research Center in Disaster Management and Earth Sciences to foster collaborations, specifically joint projects that focus on landslide research in providing sustainable development, environmental protection, and enhancement of the quality of life.

Joint Research Center in Disaster Management and Earth Sciences is an interdisciplinary research center that aims to facilitate a common platform for collaborative research, student & faculty exchanges, joint events (conference, symposium, workshops), joint supervision for Ph.D. students, and joint projects.
