Ammachi Labs’ Second Foundation Makerspace conducted a Digital Fabrication Workshop for engineering students and faculty members of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham from October 13-14, 2018 at the Amritapuri campus. The event saw a diversity of students from different disciplines of engineering.

The regular sessions on laser cutting and CNC routing are creating a significant impact on education worldwide, and are helping prepare the students at Amrita for real-world product development by introducing them to concepts of design and fabrication processes. During the workshop, the students designed and made keychains and other artifacts out of acrylic and multi-wood.
