AMRITA IQAC Support to Universities and Autonomous Higher Educational Institutions

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) supports several universities and autonomous higher educational institutions across India in knowledge exchange, participation in various academic and administrative committees, and hosting academic delegations that visit the university’s campus headquarters to study its best practices.  As part of this IQAC mentoring program:

  • Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Head and Vice-Chairman – IQAC, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, spoke on “CO-PO Mapping & Attainment” for 150+ faculty members of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering, Coimbatore on 19 July 2025. Dr.  C. Jegadheesan, Principal of the college, presided over the workshop. Dr. Prashant covered topics such as Bloom’s taxonomy, Course Outcome (CO) design & attainment, CO-PO mapping, and closing the loop at the seminar.
  • Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Head-IQAC, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore campus, attended and actively contributed to the 19th academic council meeting of Dr. NGP Arts & Science College (Autonomous), Coimbatore on 18 July 2025, which approved changes in curricula and syllabi of several programs of the college.  The academic council meeting was presided over by Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswamy, Secretary, and attended by Dr. Saravanan S., Principal; Deans; and all HODs of the college.
  • Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Head-IQAC, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore campus, showcased several of AMRITA Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Best Practices for an online interaction meeting with the senior academic leadership of Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed-to-be-University), Salem on 18 July 2025. The interaction meeting was presided over by Dr. P.K. Sudhir, Vice-Chancellor of the university.  Dr. Prashant showcased best practices of AMRITA towards research and consultancy, such as compassion-driven research, Thrust Area Groups (TAG), and ARISE research symposium during the interaction.
