Design and Development of an IoT Based Smart Irrigation and Fertilization System for Chilli Farming

Water scarcity is a major problem in India and directly impacts the villages which rely mostly on agriculture. As water becomes scarce, using it properly is even more important. Technology can help in that respect. Research is ongoing at Amrita University to help develop precision farming in the area of irrigation. The aim is to consume less water while using it more efficiently, in order to improve the yield. For this the student developped. Based on his work on this project, the student presented a paper in a IEEE conference in Chennai.
