Qualification

  • Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Technology, Polymer Science & Technology, or Chemical Engineering, with demonstrated expertise in membrane synthesis and characterization for water desalination and energy storage applications.

Job Description

  • This position is part of the “Green Water Laboratory” — a dynamic R&D team focusing on sustainable membrane and water treatment technologies aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

  • The selected candidate will also have opportunities to collaborate with the “Centre of Excellence in Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (CENTAM)” at Amrita Chennai for R&D projects focussed on: •

  • Membrane synthesis by electrospinning technique. 

  • Characterization and performance evaluation for batteries and supercapacitor energy storage devices.

Responsibilities include

  • Membrane distillation. 

  • Nano-polymer membrane synthesis 

  • Electrospun membrane development and performance evaluation/ optimization using various characterization techniques.
