KaraChara- Hand Orthosis for Rehabilitation of Stroke Patients

KaraChara is used in the rehabilitation and therapy of patients with paralysis due to stroke or spinal cord injury. The design consists of dual control mechanisms for the efficient operation of a Hand Orthosis device, which includes Electrooculogram (EOG) based control and Graphical User Interface (GUI) based control. Physiotherapists can train the patients at initial stages and patients themselves can start using without the need for Physiotherapists later. A patent has been filed for the same and is expected by the end of this year.
