Bio

Dr. Karthik V Shankar received his B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology , Kalady , Kerala.  He received his M.Tech in Integrated Design and Manufacturing and obtained his Ph.D degree in Metallurgical and Materials Science from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. He currently serves as Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus. His areas of research include composite materials, metal matrix composites, metal casting, alloy development, tribology, heat treatment process and Optimization Techniques. He has several publications in peer-reviewed international journals (SCI, SCIE, and Scopus indexed) / conference publications (Scopus indexed), He is an active reviewer in peer-reviewed journals.
