By Air

Cochin (Kochi) International Airport at Nedumbassery is situated 140 kilometers north of the campus. One can ask for a pre-paid taxi to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri. The taxi ride takes about three hours.

By Bus

From the Ernakulam Transport Bus-Stand, one may board a bus going towards Trivandrum via Alappuzha, and alight at Ochira. From Ochira, an autorickshaw can be taken to bring one directly to Amritapuri, which is 6 km away from Ochira. Or one may board a bus going to Vallickavu Junction, which is about a five-minute walk from the campus.

By Train

Kayamkulam is the closest train station situated 12 kilometres north of the campus. After disembarking, one can hire an autorickshaw to come to the campus. The ride takes about 20 minutes. Buses are also available from Kayamkulam Bus-Stand to Vallickavu Junction, which is about a five-minute walk from the campus.

Welcome Help Desk

Two help desks will be set up on campus—one in the Main Lobby and the other in front of Annapoorneshwari Hall—to assist with certificate verification and address any queries. A noticeboard will display the list of all required documents. Each student will receive a file to organize their self-attested copies. Please ensure that all original documents are carried by hand for verification.

Hostel Fee Payment and Hostel Room Allocation (B.Tech. Only)

Hostel fee for 2025 admissions is as follows 

Once you have successfully made the hostel fee payment through the CSAP portal, your hostel room allocation will be arranged upon your arrival at the campus. You must produce the printed payment receipt to the hostel office on your arrival. Hostel rooms will be allotted to all eligible students. The Campus is situated about 1 km from the Ashram, across the backwaters, and can be reached using the footbridge. Hostel room allocation for new students will commence from 10:00 am onwards on the day before the Induction Program (July 13). As a general guideline, we anticipate hostel residents to arrive on the day prior to the Induction Program.

Accommodation for Parents 

We warmly welcome all the accompanying parents 
Please note that accommodation will not be provided by the University for accompanying parents during the induction program. Parents are kindly requested to make their own accommodation arrangements. 
However, the following options are available: 

1. Amritapuri Ashram Accommodation 

• Location: Mata Amritanandamayi Math, International Headquarters, Amritapuri (adjacent to the campus) 
• Availability: First come, first serve basis 
• Booking: Prior reservation is not available 
• Process: Parents can directly report to the Ashram Accommodation Office upon arrival for room allocation 

2. Nearby Hotel Options

Parents preferring a hotel stay can explore accommodation in the nearby areas. Advance booking is recommended to ensure availability during the induction days. A list of suggested hotels is given below.

Mess Food and Canteen 

Vegetarian food is served in both Indian and Western canteens within the ashram. The hostel mess will be open for newly arriving students starting from the previous day’s dinner.

Dress Code 

Students are required to wear the university-provided uniform while on campus. Until the uniform is provided, casual dress may be worn. For girls, it is recommended to wear long tops and bottoms or Kurti-style dresses.
