Abstract : The Grid Forming Inverters are in great demand due to the high electricity demand and Distributed Power Generation. The grid forming inverters are paralleled together to form a small Micro Grid or even to cater high power data center. During such parallel operation, the stability of the system can be greatly improved by designing them with robust control system. In general, the systems remain stable under symmetrical conditions with load. However, the asymmetrical conditions and presence of line inductance can make the system vulnerable for its stability. In this paper, stability analysis has been carried out at no load by finding the equivalent impedances using KVL and its transfer functions are studied with Bode plot using MATLAB. Instability issues in the system voltage control mitigated using passive damping method and an approach to design the damping network has been carried out. Simulations are carried out in MATLAB/LTspice platform for different case scenario and results are presented in this report.
