M. Tech.

There are 4 engineering campuses under Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, offering M.Tech programmes. Admission to all the M.Tech programmes for the year 2023 is based on academic records and performance in the interview.

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria & performance in the interview will be admitted to the first year of the two-year M.Tech programmes.

Direct admission to GATE qualified students.
Non-GATE qualified students will be admitted based on academic records and performance in interview.

M. Tech.+ Ph. D.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Integrated M. Tech.+ Ph. D. is an offering that has been an outcome of its pioneering work in impactful research towards society over the past decade. By crystallizing challenges in emerging areas that are of high relevance from techno-social and Industry perspective, this integrated program ensures students are part of a structured program and graduate with mentorship from some of the most recognized faculty in Amrita and its International partners.

Application Process

Eligibility

Pass with Minimum 60% or CGPA 6.0 in B. E. / B. Tech. / M. Sc. in Engineering or Sciences discipline. The degree should be of relevance to the opted M. Tech. program.

Selection Process

Direct admission to GATE qualified students.
Non GATE qualified students will be admitted based on academic records and performance in interview.

GATE Qualified Candidates:

GATE Qualified candidates having valid GATE score will be given Direct Admission.
GATE Qualified candidates are not eligible for Scholarship fees. Scholarship Fees is applicable ONLY for Non-GATE candidates.

Non-GATE Qualified Candidates:

Selection/ Admission into M.Tech is purely based on the performance in the interview.
The interview will be conducted once in two weeks time. Candidate will be given the opportunity to attend only one interview based on his first preference of specialization.

Selected candidates will be intimated by SMS / E-Mail or both to the registered Mobile/ E-Mail ID.

Note: The tuition fee of 53,000 per semester is applicable to the slow-paced option of completing the program over six semesters [applicable to working professionals / homemakers]. This is determined during the selection process.

Terms and Conditions of Scholarship for Non-Gate Applicants

Terms and Conditions of Scholarship:
Students must pay the full amount of semester fees at the time of admission. There are two scholarship slabs.

Slab 1 – Scholarship will be paid monthly @ Rs.5,000 per month for 5 months in a semester.

Students must have secured a CGPA of 8.0 or above in their B Tech course to be considered for this scholarship slab in Semester 1.
For Semesters 2, 3 & 4, the scholarship will be based on their M Tech CGPA in the previous semesters.
Students will need to pay the full amount of semester fees at the beginning of the semester.
If the CGPA is 8.0 or above, the scholarship will be continued at slab 1 level.
If the CGPA is between 7.0 and 8.0, the scholarship amount will bedecreased accordingly to slab 2 level.
If the CGPA falls below 7.0 or if there are any arrears, the scholarship will be discontinued.

Slab 2 – Scholarship will be paid monthly @ Rs.2,500 per month for 5 months in a semester.

Students must have secured a CGPA of 7.0 or above in their B Tech course to be considered for this scholarship slab in Semester 1.
For Semesters 2, 3 & 4, the scholarship will be based on their M Tech CGPA in the previous
