Course

This seminar forms the pre-runner to the final year project in which students are expected to do a thorough literature survey and formulate a research problem on the broad topic given by the faculty. Students shall extensively study the research already carried out on the seminar topic. They shall bring out the current status of the problem, clearly indicating the shortcomings and gaps in the investigation carried out so far. 3

Students shall prepare a properly formatted seminar report giving all of the above details. They need to present the work carried out at the end of the semester. Credits will be awarded based on the viva-voce during the presentation and the content and organization of the report.

• CO1: Identify appropriate journals/conferences related to a topic of research interest and
  Conduct literature review
• CO2: Develop awareness of the recent trends in the topic of investigation
• CO3: Write technical reports in prescribed formats
• CO4: Identify research gaps and formulate valid research problem worthy of publishing in
  Reputed journals
