Mr. Jagadish Babu 

Mr. Jagadish Babu serves as the Chief Operating Officer at EkStep Foundation, a not-for-profit organization working to accelerate access to learning opportunities through the power of open digital infrastructure and collaboration. With a strong background in technology and social impact, he has been instrumental in driving scalable and inclusive education solutions across India. 

Prior to joining EkStep, Mr. Babu held key positions in both public and private sectors. He served as an Architect in the Devices Ecosystem division of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) from 2010 to 2015, where he contributed to the development of biometric authentication systems, including iris recognition technologies, helping shape the infrastructure behind India’s Aadhaar program. 

Mr. Babu also spent over 17 years at Intel Corporation, where he served in various roles, including Engineering Manager, APAC Regional Manager, Solution Specialist, and Application Engineer. His tenure at Intel was marked by deep technical leadership, strategic engagement with partners, and managing regional teams across Asia-Pacific. 

At EkStep, he brings together his engineering expertise and passion for social transformation to strengthen open digital ecosystems that support foundational learning and skills development, contributing to India’s evolving landscape of digital public goods.
