Dr. D. Yaso Omkari is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Level-11) at the Amrita School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from VIT-AP University, Andhra Pradesh, where she specialized in deep learning and bio-inspired optimization techniques for coronary artery disease prediction. During her doctoral studies, she was honoured with the Research Award from VIT-AP University for her outstanding contributions to AI-driven healthcare research.
Before pursuing her Ph.D., Dr. Omkari accumulated four years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at SV Colleges, Tirupati, where she taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer science and artificial intelligence.
Her research interests include feature selection, deep neural networks, evolutionary computation, interpretable AI, and healthcare analytics. She has worked extensively on developing robust and accurate predictive models for cardiovascular diagnosis using clinical and physiological datasets.
Dr. Omkari has authored several research publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. Her ongoing work involves integrating ECG-based diagnostics with AI models and exploring advanced deep learning techniques for early disease detection.
