Bio

Nakkeeran M. currently working as an Assistant Professor (OC) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and pursuing a Ph. D. degree in the area of Smart Grid Cybersecurity with the School of Computing, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, India. He worked as an Assistant Professor (SG) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SVS College of Engineering, Coimbatore, for 8 years. He completed my B. E (EEE) from Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli, and M.E. (CSE) in Annamalai University, Chidambaram. He has 4 years and 8 months of industry experience from various institutions and as a freelancer. He has been a Software Consultant in the area of JAVA/J2EE/ Oracle Technologies. He has published 9 research papers in International and National Journals & Conferences in the area of Smart Grid Cybersecurity, Cyber-Physical Systems, IoT Security, and Green IoT.

  • Worked as a Research Scholar for the project titled “An Intelligent Intrusion Detection System to Detect Anomalies in Industry 4.0 Smart Grid Systems” under the Amrita Seed Grant 2022 (ASG2022051) for a period of two years, with a total grant amount of Rs. 39,38,000/-.
  • Received the Amrita Scholarships & Fellowships 2024 with a grant of USD 1000 for publishing a Q1 research paper (SCI and Scopus indexed) in the Energies journal (MDPI), in collaboration with Dr. Md. Jahangir Hossain (UTS, Sydney, Australia), whose institution is ranked within the QS Top 100 universities.
  • Developed a real physical WAMPS (Smart Micro-Grid) cybersecurity testbed to conduct attack impact analysis and develop detection and mitigation mechanisms.
