Job description Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham invites applications for the position of Executive-Patents and Technology Licensing.
Job profile

  • Interfacing with Faculty and Researchers from all campuses on their Patent applications

  • Reviewing and analyzing applications for patentability, novelty, completeness, and commercial potential

  • Managing Patent Applications from University Researchers from filing of application until grant

  • Evaluating Patent applications for commercial potential and working with Inventors and Director on Commercialization and Technology Licensing activities

  • Traveling and meeting with organizations, both public and private, to discuss innovations and commercialization pathways

  • Interfacing with our Lawyers on applications from Prior Art Evaluation, drafting, filing and post filing documentation, including legal agreements as and when needed
Skill Set Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication (in English) 

  • Interest in IP law and legal analysis

  • Broad Technical Science or Engineering background 

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and navigating databases. 

  • Any certifications of additional courses or trainings (in Intellectual Property or otherwise) would be a plus.
