Abstract : In this paper, the performance of non-orthogonal multiple access based cooperative relaying scheme over the generalized Extended η-μ fading channel is considered. To this end, the required statistics of the minimum of two Extended η-μ random variables are obtained. Based on these statistics, closed-form expressions for the average achievable rate, outage probabilities, and average bit error rates are derived. Furthermore, simple asymptotic expressions for the outage probabilities and ABERs in the high signal-to-noise ratio regime are also provided. All the derived analytical expressions are verified through Monte Carlo simulations.
