Abstract : The development of communication technology and radar is completely separate from one another. However, the collaboration of the two technologies has promise for paving the way for the requirement of the upcoming technology, including vehicle detection for collision avoidance, data encryption while driving, and other growing technologies. Both civilian and non-civilian applications are quite concerned about data security. This work describes that in order to maintain the low probability of intercept (LPI) by the intruder, symbols that are to be broadcast have been hidden in the ambient backscatter of intra-pulse radar waveform. Then, utilising a two-stage detector that constrains several aspects including multipath and time-reversal approach to increase spatial-temporal focusing in addition to line-of-sight, the system’s performance is evaluated in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER) of the symbols recognised at the receiver.
