Abstract : Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication enhances road safety and traffic efficiency through real-time information exchange. The paper presents a cost-effective IoTbased solution for next-generation transportation. The demonstration prototype incorporates Arduino Uno-based modules that mimic electronic control units for speed, brake position, and location sensing for generating vehicular data. A Raspberry Pi-based V2X gateway converts sensor data into a Basic Safety Message (BSM) format, with in-vehicle communication achieved through a controller area network bus and transmits it wirelessly over Wi-Fi to a remote server. On the infrastructural side, the system stores the data on the server, facilitating traffic management and providing collision warning features with a visualization interface for control stations and alert messages for vehicles. The prototype successfully displays real-time vehicle-to-server-to-vehicle information sharing, demonstrating a scalable Internet of Things solution. Future work will focus on exploring direct vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication, the addition of new sensors, enhancements to security features, and the evaluation of system performance.
