Abstract : Climate change, which reduces crop productivity and soil fertility, is one of the most pressing issues the world is currently experiencing. By enhancing root hydraulic conductivity and water uptake, as well as exhibiting a distinctive combination of proteins associated with oxidation-reduction, elimination, stress signaling, and hormone systems, nanoclay science is rapidly expanding and crucial for plants to withstand drought conditions better. Due to the high mobility of nanoparticles, nutrients can be easily transported to all plant regions. The function of nanoclay in climate change adaptation and mitigation is briefly discussed in this chapter. The first section of this chapter covers the properties, applications, occurrence, and production of nanoclay. The next section of the chapter is about the importance of nanoclay in climate change adaptation, and mitigation. The chapter also emphasizes the importance of decontamination for maintaining ecological quality and health, the function of nanoclay in making deserts green, and the potential for turning Earth green with liquid nanoclay. The conclusion of this chapter explains how nanofertilizers work as a strategy for coping with and adapting to climate change.
