Abstract : In free Space Optical Communication several factor affects the performances of FSO links. In this paper, we propose a model of free space optical communication system and the results of this paper show the Bit Error Rates (BER) and Power of the system at different distances (50 meter to 1000 meter) under high speed data rate of 1.25 Gbps. The different wavelength (window) used to calculate the performances of free Space Optical Links over different additional attenuations. VCSEL is used as a transmitter because it has a reasonable, nominal average power level of several milliwatts (mw) of output at high-speed operation and high reliability numbers for mean time between failures (MTBF). The NRZ OOK is modulation format which is used here for Laser beam modulation. The average Bit-Error-Rate (BER) Vs distances and Power vs. distances curves of the FSO communication system are obtained.
