




Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s financial assistance programmes for local entrepreneurs directly advance SDG 1 (No Poverty) by providing seed funding and grants to economically disadvantaged innovators; SDG 4 (Quality Education) through structured proposal training and mentorship accompanying each grant; SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by ensuring equitable access to funding for women-led ventures; SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by catalysing new business formation and job creation; and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by supporting prototyping, research, and development through targeted funding schemes.
Amrita Center for Entrepreneurship – Seed Grant Scheme
Launched June 2024, the Center awards competitive seed grants (up to ₹200,000) to selected student- and community-led start-ups following a proposal evaluation. Grant recipients also receive mentoring and co-working space access for six months.
ARISE 2024 Startup Festival – Pitch Competition Grants
At ARISE 2024 (August), top three pitch competition winners each received equity-free seed grants (₹100,000; ₹75,000; ₹50,000) plus six months of incubation services at Amrita’s facilities.
Mentoring Schemes Following Admission – Prototype Development Fund
Under the December 2024 mentoring programme, early-stage teams can apply for a Prototype Development Fund (₹50,000) to build minimum-viable products, disbursed upon mentor approval of project milestones.
