Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham demonstrates strong institutional leadership in bridging academic research with industrial application in energy efficiency and clean-energy technologies. Through its Technology Enabling Centre (TEC), established with the Department of Science and Technology, the university offers a wide range of direct services both free and paid to help industries, especially MSMEs, transition toward sustainable, energy-efficient, and low-carbon operations.
Industry clusters engaged
MSMEs supported
Paid workshops delivered
Paid collaborative research projects
Industry professionals trained / capacity built
Students engaged through industry energy-efficiency internships & projects
Conducted 32 free energy-efficiency assessments for local industries by providing detailed diagnostics, process analysis, and recommendations for reducing energy consumption and improving operational efficiency.

Through its Technology Enabling Centre (TEC), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham supported energy-efficient and sustainable practices in the coir industry by conducting technical site visits and hands-on evaluations of coir pot-making and root-trainer units. The engagement assessed machine design, production efficiency, and resource use, while interactions with industry leaders identified opportunities for customised coir machinery to improve productivity, energy performance, and sustainability in coir MSMEs.

Enabled industries to access the Humanitarian Technology Labs, Robotics and Automation labs, Renewable-energy prototyping spaces, and Industrial IoT labs for initial assessments and demonstrations at no cost. Supported early-stage testing, technology familiarisation, and exposure to innovative energy-efficient solutions.
Hosted open seminars, demonstrations, and engagement sessions where industries interacted with researchers and learned about clean-energy innovations. Shared research insights, Scopus-indexed findings, and public-benefit technical information without charging participants.
Engagements with Industrial Association, BCIC, Bangalore Dr. Krishnashree Achuthan, Director of Amrita TEC, along with the governing member of the Bangalore Chamber of Industries and Commerce (BCIC) had an interaction for organizing AR/ VR training programs, collaborating on autonomous vehicles, and hosting a technology transfer conference.
