MSW Program

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham offers Master of Social Work (MSW) Program at its Amritapuri and Ettimadai campuses to train social work professionals with the aim of providing humanitarian and charitable services to the needy around the globe.

The MSW program at Amrita offers a blend of advanced concepts and developments in the field of Social Work and a deeper understanding of our traditional Value System that has nourished Indian civilization for thousands of years. The Program prepares students to independently undertake challenging assignments in Social Work, and provides them the service orientation quite necessary to reach out to the most under-privileged needy sections in the society.

MSW Students

The post-graduate program in Social Work at Amrita University is unique in many ways. The first and primary one is the fact that Mata Amritanandamayi is the beacon for all of its efforts. The program's core agenda is to infuse the students with social commitment by providing them encounters with practical situations during their course work.

The two-year course (4 semesters) enables students to imbibe the fundamental principles of social work and practice them in real-life situations. The Social Work program incorporates a methodology through which the students evolve themselves to a new individually committed level and transform the society in which they live.
