Skill E-Labs Launches DroneXplore with Successful Completion and Practical Workshop

AMMACHI Labs marked a significant milestone as the first batch of learners successfully completed the DroneXplore course on Skill E-Labs, the institution’s online learning platform known for its simulation-based and video-driven experiential courses.

DroneXplore, AMMACHI Labs’ first fully online drone training program, introduces beginners to drone technology through interactive simulations, video modules, quizzes, and assessments—requiring no physical drone for practice. Upon completion, learners received certificates from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, recognizing their achievement in foundational drone operations.

To enrich the online experience, a free offline drone flying workshop was organised on December 21, 2025, exclusively for eligible learners.

Offline Workshop Highlights

Participants: Nine students from Amrita Vidyalayam, Puthiyakavu

  • Instructor: Dr. Don S, Associate Professor, School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, supported by his student intern Anand and members of the AMMACHI Labs team
  • Inauguration: Led by Swami Avyayamritananda Puri, who emphasized the importance of learning emerging technologies responsibly and applying them for social good

Workshop Activities

Participants engaged in a recap of key drone concepts learned online, followed by hands-on flying practice with beginner-friendly drones.
Two learning tracks were offered—basic flight operations and advanced demonstrations—covering take-off, landing, navigation skills, and a final flight assessment.

Recognition

Certificates and drone pins were awarded by Dr. Don S and Brahmacharini Dr. Remya, Chairperson, Department of Electronics & Communication. Students showcased strong enthusiasm, confidently bridging theory with real-world application and expressing interest in advanced and project-based drone learning. The workshop concluded with a short closing prayer.
